Target Audience
The MRes Typeface Design course is designed for experienced typeface designers aiming to deepen their understanding of historical and theoretical aspects of typeface design and to obtain a research-intensive qualification for teaching at the postgraduate level.
Course Structure
The course is structured as a hybrid model over two years of part-time study, incorporating:
- Core seminars from the residential MA Typeface Design course.
- Intensive sessions modeled on the TDi short course.
Most coursework is conducted online, supplemented by three residential periods of two weeks each, focusing on:
- Targeted research skills.
