Overview

The MA Research program requires students to complete a dissertation of either 20,000 words or 12,000 words with a creative component. The dissertation must critically reflect on the relationship between the written work and the creative project. Creative options include a performance or a stage play, both lasting 60 to 120 minutes.

Project Requirements

Students enrolled in the MA Research program are required to produce one of the following under the guidance of experienced staff members:

  • An academic dissertation of 20,000 words.
  • An academic dissertation of 12,000 words accompanied by a piece of creative work.

The dissertation, regardless of length, must include a critical reflection on the relationship between the dissertation and the creative work.
