Program Details
The MA by Research in Classics allows students to pursue a research project based on their interests, with start dates on 1st October, 1st January, 1st April, and 1st July. The program can be completed in one year full-time or two years part-time.
Research Focus
Students will conduct original research culminating in a thesis of up to 40,000 words, contributing significantly to the field of Classics. Research topics may include:
- Languages and literature of the classical world
- Philosophy and culture from Homer to the later Roman Empire
- Reception of the ancient world in modern culture
